We will work to inform and educate our members about current statutes, regulations, agencies that have been empowered with jurisdiction over them, their chosen employment, business enterprise, any licensure required, the policies and procedures these bureaucracies create to implement and enforce the law and ways to navigate and comply with the resulting complexities and challenges. We will keep them updated about pending legislation and/ or agency regulatory actions, trends and result We will provide them information and strategies to remain in compliance within the current jurisdictional rules in effect.
We will also monitor the state’s rule making process that our public agencies go through to create new rules (Florida Administrative Code, F.A.C.) to implement new statutes, and the rule amendment process for existing rules, inform the membership of proposals and potential impact on them and gather their feedback so we can identify changes desired and design action plans to achieve those results. When in our membership’s interest, we will provide public comment, attend public legislative committee meetings, attend regulatory rule-making meetings, licensing board meetings, etc. Maintaining a presence at these events is necessary to remain informed and to have a meaningful impact.
